If you’re like me, you have a story and a message that must be shared. You feel called to write it.
But writing your book feels impossible.
Do any of these thoughts sound familiar?
You’re about to discover how successful writers overcome each of those fears... and go on to write wildly popular books that spread their message across the world.
After more than 40 years in this field, seeing thousands of passionate writers finish and release their books (and countless more give up and fail), I recognize a pattern in those who reach their goals and those who don’t.
I’ll tell you about this pattern in just a moment. First, let me introduce myself.
Have you ever been told by an editor that your writing belongs in the toilet?
At 19, I was a sportswriter for a daily newspaper. But I really wanted a story in the Features section. So I submitted one with photos to the Managing Editor.
I got a quick response.
In red pencil at the top of the first page he’d scribbled:
I was crushed.
Eventually, I mustered the courage to approach his desk.
“Sir, could you tell me what’s wrong with this so I can fix it?”
“Sure, Jenkins,” he said. “It’s sh--.”
If you’ve ever taken a hit like that, you know it’s hard to keep from thinking:
I’m not cut out for this.
This is too hard.
I should quit.
I staggered back to my desk where my boss — the Sports Editor — offered some powerful advice.
“Did you have any misgivings about it?”
I mentioned several things I could have done differently.
“There you go. Anything you should have done is what you ought to do.”
The next day I submitted my rewritten story, and the Managing Editor immediately accepted it.
That's the difference the right guidance can make.
Too many writers think they simply lack talent. Successful authors know writing is a craft, and they’ve studied and applied the proven secrets of powerful prose. (And it shows!)
Writers who succeed in finishing their books have found inspiration and encouragement — often from a close-knit community of other writers who won’t let them quit.
Successful writers find someone they trust in the business — maybe an author who’s already achieving — to show them the way and help them avoid huge mistakes.
In short — writers who finish their books, get published, and reach the masses have ONE thing in common:
Enough writers succeed that you can learn how they did it—and how to follow in their footsteps.
To expose you to these secrets, I’ve created a thriving online community where passionate authors have access to:
of the top writing experts in the world
from a writing community invested in your success
more intensive than anything I’ve ever offered before
I’m so excited to tell you about this! My online Writers Guild offers quality, proven mentoring in all these areas listed above—and can shave years off your learning curve.
My Writers Guild community is the ultimate mastermind group for both aspiring and accomplished authors. You’ll hear from many of the top writing experts in the world, and I’ll teach you everything I know about writing your book.
If you’re ready to get serious about your writing career, expand your influence, and share your message in a way that can radically transform people’s hearts and lives, this is for you.
“I can hardly believe you are so generous with your knowledge, transparency, and time to help others hone their craft. I’ve heard you speak at several writers conferences and have loved learning from you. Now that I’m a part of the Guild, your webinars and materials have given me such substance and direction. They are extraordinary! Thank you a zillion times over.”
— Jan Hail
"I’ve seen my writing dramatically improve in a few short months, thanks to Jerry’s points about dialogue and self-editing! Learning from a more experienced professional is something many people pay thousands of dollars and travel hundreds of miles to do. I can do it curled up in my pajamas at home!"
"I joined the Guild with a fully written manuscript and a desperate need to learn how to edit it properly. I’ve learned to ferociously self-edit, show and not tell, use dialogue to drive more of the story, and choose point of view characters for each scene. The book reads so much better now!"
“Things I learned in the short time since I joined the Guild helped me to edit to the point the story became clear and crisp. I’m blessed to have been able to learn so much so quickly! I just sold my first piece. Thanks for all your help at the Guild!”
"I have tried to embrace all the great info you share, Jerry. The result has been three publishers asking for a book proposal. I am a first-time writer and felt overwhelmed with the process until I found your Guild."
You’ll get instant access to our entire library of content dating to January of 2016. As soon as you join, you’ll be able to retrieve every Live Online Workshop, Thick-Skinned Manuscript Critique, Office Hours session, Master Class, and Manuscript Repair & Rewrite.
That’s over 75 hours of high-quality training to help you master the craft—along with a handy guide to help you figure out which videos will be of most immediate value to you, based on your specific situation.
Have you ever wondered what a bestselling book’s proposal looked like?
In the bonus section, you’ll get access to three that went on to become New York Times bestsellers.
They make perfect examples to follow for your own proposals.
This three-hour session gives you the tools to finally begin writing your book. You can watch this workshop again and again.
The Art of the Start will teach you:
One of the biggest barriers to top-quality writing coaching like this has always been the cost, because in the past you had to attend a writers conference to get it.
That’s why I’ve built a thriving community of over 1500 writers and 75+ hours of top-quality training you can access 24/7 without leaving your home, and at a fraction of the cost of a writers conference.
And because I want to make this decision as easy as possible for you, I’ve come up with a way to make it as affordable as possible.
If you wait until next enrollment period several months from now, you’ll miss the final opportunity to lock in this low rate. So if you’re interested in trying it risk-free, join now!
That’s well over a $1300 value for only $45 per month or $450 annually! And the value of the Guild keeps increasing, because I release new training nearly every week!
My number one goal is to help you make real, tangible progress as a writer. I want to boost your confidence and see your writing find its way into more hands and your message into more hearts.
If you join, actively engage with the material and community, and are unhappy with your investment for any reason, just let my team know via email within the first 30 days, and we’ll cheerfully send you a 100% refund. No hassle, no guilt trip, no questions asked.
This community is for you only if you’re serious about making real progress as a writer.
I train you in techniques that will rapidly improve your writing—but there is no substitute for hard work and commitment.
Many online writing programs promise instant bestseller status, legions of adoring fans, and riches beyond your dreams. While that’s all possible, I promise none of that, because nobody can.
My goal is to help you succeed, not to break your heart with promises no one could guarantee.
The first of my New York Times bestsellers was my 75th book. My first mega-bestseller, Left Behind? That was my 125th. I’ve been around long enough to know there are no guarantees, and anyone who tells you otherwise is steering you down a bad path.
I know what it’s like to be where you are right now.
Wanting to improve. Wanting to finish your book. Wanting to be published. Wanting to get your message out.
It’s not that you lack desire or passion. It’s a question of how do I actually do this?
I’ve designed my Writers Guild to be the bridge to where you want to be, and to get you there as quickly as possible.
That’s why I’m offering membership at this low rate for the last time and why I’ll give you 30 days just to see if it feels right. Again, if you give it a shot and aren’t happy with it for any reason, my team will give you a full refund.
Where could you be a year from now with consistent, daily access to these resources?
What would your writing be like with support and feedback from this type of community?
How would it feel to hold your finished manuscript in your hands?
Better yet, how will it feel to hold your published book in your hands?
Join the Guild before this special enrollment week ends, and let me join you on your journey.
