Hey Jerry,

I'm gearing up to launch my weekly blog combining my passions for history and storytelling. I'd like to add verity by allowing other authors to write guests posts. How often would you suggest I include works of others? Once every 1-2 months?

Also do you think a weekly blog is too infrequent. In Michael Hyatt's book Platform, he argues for 4-5 times a week, but I don't think I could reach that frequency. What would you do in my shoes?

Thanks much!
~Shane

Jerry's Answer

The key, Shane, is regularity. I think once a week is fine, if you post one at the same time each week. Keep them tight (600-650 words, lots of white space, bullet points, etc.), and think reader-benefits first.

Be very picky with guest posts; they have to be great to justify giving up your real estate--but again, reader first.
