Dear Jerry

A bit of a different question this time around!

Do you have an exercise regime/something you do to remind yourself to move occasionally? This might sound daft, but I’ve noticed I’ve developed neck and back pains.

Once I’m on the laptop, I don’t really want to move and distract myself from writing. How do you get around that? I know I’m definitely causing the problem. All my fault!

Samantha, pain should be your guide. As soon as you feel it, stand, rotate your head and neck, stretch, etc. I work out every day also.

You might look into a standup desk. Some are quite modestly priced. You don't have to stand the whole time, of course, but maybe twenty minutes at a time now and then.
