What would be the best laptop and writing software that you would recommend . I am willing to invest up to $1000.00 to get something won’t leave me with less than I need and cause a lot of frustration. I don’t need a Mac, just a good machine and I would rather spend less but don’t want to settle for make do. After I publish my book I can go wild

I have been very happy with my Acer laptop, Jeff. And you'll need Microsoft Word -- the publishing industry runs on it.
