Jerry,
I asked you about this letter written by my GGGrandfather and you said leave spelling and punctuation as is unless it is too difficult to read. I'm including parts of the letter. Do you think it is okay as it is and do I need to cite this. I found it on Youtube, Civil War letters #8.

Egan Hospital May 23 1864
Mrs Lucinda Grimmett
Dear Madam Your husband died in this Hospital … he wanted you to do the best you coud in this unfrendly world of sin … he took inflamitory rehumatisms … it run for days and finly mortiforcation took place … wich caused his death he will I will say for your consolation be berried in a nice coffin … I must come to close by praying God to take special cear of you and yore Little children … put yore trust in God and try to get to heaven as I believe yore husband is at that good and happy place I hope we will all meet in heaven where no cares will ever enter I remain yores and a friend to the widow and orphans
