Ask Jerry
writing a biography
Asked by elfrieda fleischmann on February 9, 2021
Hi Jerry, analytical biographies tend to be a bit dry. So I have written a 320p biography on a revival preacher, using dialogue. Have divided the book into three parts,; 1) his journey towards a protestant revival, 2) stories ocuring during the revival, and 3) his further insight on revival, linked to characteristics of other great protestant revivals. All togehter I have 1300 citations with footnotes. I know this true story will be a help to many christians, however I am not sure if the manuscript as it is, is up to standard. Currently, this ministry is under servere media attacks. So wish you could comment on the manuscript? (missionary in Africa)

When you say "using dialogue," Elfrieda, do you dialect? Just a hint of that is all you need, and overdoing could be deadly to the reading experience.
