You have a story and message burning inside you.
If you’re like me, you may even feel called to write.
Despite that passion, writing your book feels impossible.
Now the whole day is shot.
So much for progress.
Perhaps tomorrow.
But tomorrow turns into next week…
Next week turns into next month…
Years fly by, and your story stagnates.
Sound like you?
The real problem holding your writing back?
Writer’s Fear.
If you have started, you keep anything you’ve written hidden in a drawer or a file on your computer, afraid to show it to anyone.
Believe me, all writers—even the most successful ones—know that fear.
The problem is, if you don’t find a way to manage it, your book will never see the light of day.
No one will ever experience it or be changed by it.
Your message should be read by the multitudes who may desperately need someone to transform them.
If you don’t find a way through the fear to find encouragement and training...
Don’t let that happen! Determine to tell your story despite your fear. How? Stay with me,
You’re about to discover how successful authors overcome obstacles and write books that spread their message across the world.
During my half century in writing and publishing, I’ve seen thousands of passionate writers finish and release their books. Of course I’ve seen countless more give up and fail, but I’ve discovered a clear difference between those who reach their goals and those who don’t.
I’ll tell you the difference in a moment. First, let me introduce myself.
Have you ever been told your writing belongs in the toilet?
I have.
At 19, I was a sportswriter for a daily newspaper. But I really wanted a story in the Features section. So I submitted one with photos to the Managing Editor.
I got a quick response.
He scribbled in red pencil at the top of the first page: Great Pictures. Bad Story.
I was crushed.
I mustered the courage to approach his desk.
“Sir, could you tell me what’s wrong with this so I can fix it?”
“Sure, Jenkins,” he said. “It’s sh-t.”
If you’ve ever taken a hit like that, you can imagine what was going through my mind.
This is too hard.
I’m not good at this.
Maybe I should give up.
I staggered back to my desk where my boss, the Sports Editor, asked, “Did you have any misgivings about it?”
I mentioned several things that I could have done differently.
“There you go. Anything you should have done is what you ought to do.”
Determined not to give up, the next day I submitted my rewritten story, and the Managing Editor accepted it.
That’s the difference the right mindset and good counsel can make.
Had I quit, I would never have the career I enjoy today.
Who knows what I’d be doing?
Sometimes the difference between a writer who gives up…
And one who becomes a New York Times bestselling author…
Is simply a mentor and determination.
Successful authors don’t wake up successful–they study the writing craft and apply proven secrets to creating powerful prose.
Writers who finish their books often find inspiration and encouragement from a community of fellow writers who won’t allow them to quit.
Successful writers find someone they trust in the business–maybe an author further along the path–to show the way and help them avoid time-consuming mistakes.
To put it plainly, writers who finish their manuscripts, get their books published, and reach their audiences have ONE thing in common:
Successful authors have a process–secrets that have worked for them.
So you can follow in their footsteps and learn their secrets, I’ve created an online program where you’d have access to:
of the top writing experts
from an invested writing community, and intensive
that has guided thousands of members over the last 6 years
I’m so excited to tell you about this! My online Writers Guild offers quality, proven mentoring in all these areas listed above—and can shave years off your learning curve.
My Writers Guild community is the ultimate mastermind group for both aspiring and accomplished authors. You’ll hear from many of the top writing experts in the world, and I’ll teach you everything I know about writing your book.
If you’re ready to get serious about your writing career, expand your influence, and share your message in a way that can radically transform people’s hearts and lives, this is for you.
“I can hardly believe you are so generous with your knowledge, transparency, and time to help others hone their craft. I’ve heard you speak at several writers conferences and have loved learning from you. Now that I’m a part of the Guild, your webinars and materials have given me such substance and direction. They are extraordinary! Thank you a zillion times over.”
— Jan Hail
"I’ve seen my writing dramatically improve in a few short months, thanks to Jerry’s points about dialogue and self-editing! Learning from a more experienced professional is something many people pay thousands of dollars and travel hundreds of miles to do. I can do it curled up in my pajamas at home!"
"I joined the Guild with a fully written manuscript and a desperate need to learn how to edit it properly. I’ve learned to ferociously self-edit, show and not tell, use dialogue to drive more of the story, and choose point of view characters for each scene. The book reads so much better now!"
“Things I learned in the short time since I joined the Guild helped me to edit to the point the story became clear and crisp. I’m blessed to have been able to learn so much so quickly! I just sold my first piece. Thanks for all your help at the Guild!”
"I have tried to embrace all the great info you share, Jerry. The result has been three publishers asking for a book proposal. I am a first-time writer and felt overwhelmed with the process until I found your Guild."
This represents well over 100 hours of training that will help you become the best writer you can be. But I don’t expect you to navigate this vast library of writing advice alone!
We’ve organized The Guild into step-by-step courses that guide you through each lesson, right when you need it. This way you know what I recommend next for you.
How do I know what you need next? Because when you log in for the first time, we ask about your writing. What you tell us helps us tailor the Guild to you, so you can get better in the least amount of time.
And any time you want to branch out and explore our entire library, it’s always available to you.
As soon as you join, you’ll have access to our entire library of writer training resources dating from January of 2016. Our step-by-step mini-courses take you through each Live Online Workshop, Thick-Skinned Manuscript Critique, Office Hours session, Master Class, and Manuscript Repair & Rewrite session—but only the ones you need, and just when you need them.
That’s well over 100 hours of high-quality training to help you master the craft—along with a handy roadmap that will give you a specialized training program. And you’re also free to explore all this material in the library on your own if you wish
Have you ever wondered what a bestselling book’s proposal looked like?
In the bonus section, you’ll get access to three that went on to become New York Times bestsellers.
They make perfect examples to follow for your own proposals.
This three-hour session gives you the tools to finally begin writing your book. You can watch this workshop again and again.
The Art of the Start will teach you:
One of the biggest barriers to top-quality writing coaching like this has always been the cost, because in the past you had to attend a writers conference to get it.
That meant: travel and lodging and meal expenses, registration fee, time away from home, etc.
That’s why I’ve built a thriving community of over 1500 writers and 100+ hours of top-quality training you can access 24/7 without leaving your home, and at a fraction of the cost of a writers conference.
And because I want to make this decision as easy as possible for you, I’ve come up with a way to make it as affordable as possible.
That’s well over a $1300 value for only $49 per month or $490 annually! And the value of the Guild keeps increasing, because I release new training nearly every week!
My number one goal is to help you make real, tangible progress as a writer. I want to boost your confidence and see your writing find its way into more hands and your message into more hearts.
If you join, actively engage with the material and community, and are unhappy with your investment for any reason, just let my team know via email within the first 30 days, and we’ll cheerfully send you a 100% refund. No hassle, no guilt trip, no questions asked.
This community is for you only if you’re serious about making real progress as a writer.
I train you in techniques that will rapidly improve your writing—but there is no substitute for hard work and commitment.
Many online writing programs promise instant bestseller status, legions of adoring fans, and riches beyond your dreams. While that’s possible, I promise none of that, because nobody can. My goal is simply to help you succeed.
The first of my New York Times bestsellers was my 75th book. My first mega-bestseller, Left Behind? That was my 125th. I’ve been around long enough to know there are no guarantees, and anyone who tells you otherwise is steering you down a bad path.
I know what it’s like to be where you are right now.
Wanting to improve. Wanting to finish your book. Wanting to be published. Wanting to get your message out.
It’s not that you lack desire or passion. It’s a question of how do I actually do this?
I’ve designed my Writers Guild to be the bridge to where you want to be, and to get you there as quickly as possible.
That’s why I’m offering membership at this low rate for the last time and why I’ll give you 30 days just to see if it feels right. Again, if you give it a shot and aren’t happy with it for any reason, my team will give you a full refund.
Where could you be a year from now with consistent, daily access to these resources?
What would your writing be like with support and feedback from this type of community?
How would it feel to hold your finished manuscript in your hands?
Better yet, how will it feel to hold your published book in your hands?
Join the Guild before this special enrollment week ends, and let me join you on your journey.
Sincerely,
